Welcome to the Theta Eta Chapter of Sigma Nu at Northern Illinois University. Our fraternity provides incoming students with leadership opportunities, mentorship programs, and lifelong friendships.
As a freshman in Fall 2021, I joined Sigma Nu because of the great time I had during recruitment with the members of the organization. During my time here, I have gotten involved in campus leadership roles, made great friendships, and built connections for my future career. Sigma Nu has truly developed me into a better man, and I would not be where I am today without it.

Who we are
Established at Northern Illinois University in 1966 and recolonized in 2006. The Sigma Nu Theta Eta Chapter, has long been recognized as one of NIU's leading fraternities. Working to develop undergraduates in to ethical leaders, scholars, and professionals by promoting our fraternal values of love, honor, truth, and anti-hazing. Sigma Nu at NIU has endeavored to develop over 700 men into strong leaders over the course of 50 years, providing them with guidance, leadership, opportunities, and resources needed for success in their collegiate studies, future careers and beyond.
